Original, 2500 sq.ft. ranch style home was too small for the family of 5 and they were in need of missing family room, master suite, 2 more bathrooms and complete upgrade of everything. We proposed a plan that would allow to build extra 2000 sq.ft. in a front and rear of the house, moving garage closer to the front. Without massive deconstruction of existing structure we added exterior details to give a house a craftsman look, as owners desired.
Old, rotten exterior siding was replaced with cement James Hardie siding, old cedar roof shingles replaced with presidential style asphalt shingles, all windows were replaced with Andersen 400 series.
We decided to keep only existing oak flooring and continue it to the new kitchen area and part of the family room. Outside, on a rear yard, ideal place for BBQ was found.
Overall this house have 4500 sq.ft. with the garage, 1 large master suite, 3 regular bedrooms, separate office, almost 600 sq.ft. family room with 2 small alcove windows, Formal dining room, Living room at the front, walk-in pantry, mud and powder rooms between kitchen and a garage.
